KURK EDWARDS - MINISTRY

Kurk Edwards founded Joy Jem CDC to carry on the legacy his late father, Reverend Eddie Edwards started with the community organization, Joy of Jesus. Like his father, Kurk is a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel. He shares his message of ministry at churches and community organizations across America. Reverend Edwards has been preaching and teaching the Word of God for over 15 years. He is a father of 2, Angel and Kurk Edwards II. His passion for community ministry is evident in his focus on feeding, clothing, and housing Veterans, creating job opportunities for the community and Returning Citizens in which he serves. Reverend Edwards has a 70 acre camp in Kingston Michigan where he wants to continue to send inner city kids and open a rehabilitation center on grounds.

The Lord called Kurk Edwards to use his middle name in the Music industry, from Kincaid to Ken-Cade which is defined as: Battled warrior, Loves freedom, Adventurous, Creative, Passionate, Peacemaker, Giver and Helper, which identified who he is all along. With this call and identity, God download heavenly inspirited songs to set those that are in bondage free from the clinched hands of the enemy! It is the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit through the lyrics of the songs! Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongues.”  God gave these songs to listen, sing and dance to HIS Word over and over until it’s sown deep into the heart of the people.

God called every one of us, He said He for-knew us. Predestined us, He called us, He justified us And He glorified us. He chose us in Him before the foundations of the world.

• God has a call on our lives and we have to pursue our purpose (THE PURSUIT OF PURPOSE)to fulfill our destiny. The devil wants to steal, kill and destroy that call our purpose. We have to let the devil know and put him in his place (ALTTD). The devil will use all kinds of things to alter your mind and pull you off that purpose, he will use people, alcohol, drugs, it’s a war (DRUG WAR LORDS) but the battle is not yours, it’s God’s. In life, you will have (HATERS) who are jealous, who don;t want you to succeed. They will say and do all kinds of things against you. They will lie, steal, cheat and talk about you. However, we do live in a racist (RACISM) society or world. If you pull the covers back, and take the sheets off, it will reveal the devil who is behind it. The devil hates you and will use hatred against you. 

You have to be a soldier (I’M A SOLDIER) strong, endure the fight, the good fight of faith because God has given you the victory. You are a overcomer. You overcome the world, the flesh and the devil. Why? because of our Lord who is (I AM THAT I AM) who has made everything (ALRIGHT) He is Jehovah Tiskenue, our righteousness.

He traded His life for ours, his righteousness for our unrighteousness, then turned around and sent the Holy Spirit back.(SPIRIT FIRE RAIN) He will redesign our spirit and mind, that we will not walk around the earth powerless and blind, that is why. (I’M GONNA) I don’t know about you but I’m gonna praise Him and pray (PAUL’S PRAYER) because (JESUS) has made me free (FREEDOM) That’s why (HE’S THE GREATEST)
